The Flemish government organises and finances four Screening Programmes: three Cancer Screening Programmes and a Congenital Metabolic Disorder Screening Programme. The three Cancer Screening Programmes screen the population for breast cancer, cervical cancer and bowel cancer. The Flemish government invests in these programmes because they save lives.
