POPULATION SCREENING VERSUS SCREENING
In a population-based screening a screening is systematically offered to a population group with specific common characteristics, such as women and/or men who belong to the same age group.
Most screenings are not carried out within the framework of a population screening. For example, a lot of people decide to have a screening on their own initiative or at the suggestion of a doctor.
